A Sydney independent with legendary status, the Waterfront Records label was founded by Steve Stavrakis in 1982; operating as both a record label and record store under the same name from 1984. The store occupied various addresses in the Sydney CBD until shutting down in March 2000. In February 2003, Waterfront was reborn as an online retailer.
