WIZARD

Following much success with his Sparmac Productions label through until 1973, Rob E.G. formed a new partnership with Steve Binder later that year resulting in the Wizard label. Some of Australia's best known performers recorded for the label, from long established acts to major new successes, none more so than Marcia Hines, though in reality most of her records came out on Wizard's soul/R & B subsidiary Miracle Records. It also re-issued much of the Sparmac catalogue which Porter still owned. 10 years after opening, he sold Wizard to its distributor RCA Records though apparently only the product then currently available. Porter still has the master tapes of many Sparmac/Wizard recordings which have subsequently never been released.
