Violet's Holiday was set up sometime in 1970, and according to Chris Spencer it released about fifteen titles. The output includes several releases by Sydney band Flake -- their cult classic LP How's Your Mother (recently re-issued on CD by Martin) and their three 1971 singles -- the hit single "The Wheat In The Field" by Harry Young & Sabbath, and the now rare and highly prized self-titled LP by McPhee, which was reissued several years ago on CD by Vicious Sloth Collectibles.

I have found a single off the Violets Holiday Label by the T-Kiwi's category number VHK-4435, I cannot find any other information about this band. The 2 songs on the single are Give Me A Woman and Our World. This would be one of only 15 records produced by Violets World, does anybody know anything about the T-Kiwi's?
ReplyDeleteThe T-Kiwi's were a travelling Maori Showband that had residencies at some of the leading hotels & clubs in Australia, Philippines and Singapore. All LP cuts are covers except for "Give Me a Woman", which was written by lead guitarist & vocalist Garth Wall. I have added a photo of them. Look above
